World Food Program presents over $1 million dollar of equipment to the Office of Disaster Management
The Office of Disaster Management has benefited from over one million dollars of equipment from the World Food Program, aimed at building greater resiliency in the aftermath of disasters.
The presentation of vehicles, boats, communication centers, and communication equipment was made on Thursday morning.
World Food Program representative Banjamin Debarros said the equipment will go a long way towards improving Government’s capacity to manage post disaster.
And Minister for the Environment, Climate Resilient, Disaster Management, and Urban Renewal Joseph Isaac the capabilities of the ODM will be greatly enhanced with the equipment.
