Wall house man granted bail after being charged with last week’s shooting incident
A man from Wall House who was charged in a shooting incident at Fondcole last week, has been granted bail in the sum of $30,000 dollars.
Javed Alfred was arrested for shooting AKEN-TAN Mohammed at a business place and charged with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
The prosecution did not object to bail when the accused was taken to court on Tuesday morning.
He has been asked to report to police headquarters every Wednesday between the hours of 7am-7pm.
Under the bail conditions, the accused should not change his address in Wall House without informing the court.
He has been asked not to interfere with witnesses in the case.
Trial in the matter is set for September 20, 2019
Meantime, Amaziah Francis of Kingshill has received a suspended sentence from the court after he pleaded guilty to drug trafficking.
Francis was intercepted in Massacre yesterday, while police conducted a search of vehicles.
He was found with 364 grams of marijuana while he was a passenger on a vehicle.
He told the court he cooperated with the police throughout the investigation.
He was sentenced to 6 months suspended for 18 months.
The accused was told he should not returned to court on a drug matter within 18 months.
