Tropical Wave Affecting the Island
The weather outlook for Dominica and the lesser Antilles
A tropical wave is expected to result in an increase in cloudiness with showers and isolated thunderstorm across the island during the next 24 hours.
However most of the heavy showers and thunderstorm can be expected mainly across the southern portion of the island chain. Persons in areas prone to flooding, landslides and falling rocks are advised to be vigilant and exercise caution.
Moderate seas are expected during the next 24 hours with waves peaking near 8 feet. Small craft operators and sea bathers are advised to exercise caution.
No flood watch or warning is issued for Dominica but caution is advised as some showers are expected.
