Talk show host Matthias Peltier intends to appeal recent high court ruling
Talk show host Matthias Peltier has announce his intentions to appeal a high court ruling which has awarded $160,000 in damages to Police Superintendent Cleville Mills.
The court ordered Peltier and Wice QFM to pay $80,000 and Angelo Allen and Wice QFM to pay a further $80,000 to Superintendent Mills in the damages.
The matter stems from a defamation case where it was alleged that Mills had stolen a quantity of money from the Marigot Police Station.
Peltier, who is being represented by Attorney at Law David Bruney, says he has strong grounds for appeal.
And Attorney at Law Healther Felix Evans, who represents Superintendent Mills, says they too could counter appeal for further damages if the defendants pursue their appeal.
