Seismologist speaks out on series of earthquake which rocked Dominica
Seismologist at the University of the West Indies Seismic Research Center Dr Joan Latchman says a series of quakes which rocked Dominica Tuesday night are associated with the string of activity being monitored in the region.
A 4.0 magnitude earthquake hit at about 9 pm just north east of Dominica Tuesday night.
This was followed by a 3.7 magnitude earthquake at 9:17 pm and yet another at 3:05 am, measuring at 4.0.
Dr Latchman says the focus should not be on when and where earthquakes will happen, but rather on preparedness.
