Portsmouth man pleads not guilty to a 2014 murder
A Portsmouth man has pleaded not guilty to a 2014 murder which occurred in the town of Portsmouth.
Chris Boston, who was charged with the murder of Cloudy Ricky Benjamin at a night club, pleaded not guilty when the charge was read to him during the arraignment at the House of Assembly on Monday morning.
The arraignment is in preparation for trial in January 2019.
Boston was granted bail by the High Court.
Meantime another Portsmouth man Israel Valarie has pleaded not guilty to grievous bodily harm with intent.
Valarie was charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm against Ross Baptiste.
He was also charged with unlawful wounding of Ross Baptiste in April 2015.
He is on bail of $20,000 and will report to the Portsmouth police station every Monday and Thursday from 6 am-6 pm.
The arraignment for accused persons continue at the House of Assembly on November 26 and December 3, 2018.
