Over $8 million dollars expended from the Joint Emergency Cash Transfer for Dominicans
Over $8 million dollars has been expended from the Joint Emergency Cash Transfer for Dominicans most affected by Hurricane Maria.
The Program was implemented by the Ministry of Social Services, Family and Gender Affairs with technical support from the World Food Program and UNICEF.
The Government of Dominica along with other stakeholders commenced a two day workshop this morning to take stock of key achievements and challenges from the Program.
Former Minister for Social Services Catherine Daniel says the cash transfers were provided to the most vulnerable households and their children.
