No March for United Workers Party
The police have turned down a request by the Opposition United Workers Party (UWP) for a march in Roseau today, Tuesday 25.
Superintendent of Police, Richmond Valentine made the announcement last night.
This follows recent calls by the Opposition for Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit to vacate office.
On Tuesday 11, April, 2017, Opposition Leader Lennox Linton was prevented from entering the building by police officers dressed in military wear.
Two days after he was barred by the police from accessing his office at the Parliament building in Roseau, Opposition Leader, Lennox Linton, returned to the facility on Thursday saying he has a Constitutional right to be there but was still denied.
Since then the Dominica police force have justified their stance on the matter stating that it was in the interest of National Security.
