Ministry of Public Works receives largest allocation of the capital expenditure of the 2018-2019 National Budget
The Ministry of Public Works, Water Resource, Management and Ports has received the biggest allocation of the capital expenditure of the 2018-2019 National Budget.
Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit presented the close to one million dollar budget under the theme “From Survival to Sustainability and Success: Building a Resilient Dominica.”
$181 million dollars, or 41.4%, will go towards the Ministry of Public Works.
The Prime Minister says Roseau Enhancement Project is among the major projects for the Ministry of Public Works.
The second largest allocation of the budget went to Housing and Lands which received $85.9 million dollars or 18.9%.
The Ministry of Environment, Climate Resilience, Disaster Management and Urban Renewal received $29.9 million dollars, Agriculture $27.2 million, Health and Social Services $22.3 million, Education $12 million, and Youth, Sports, and Constituency Empowerment also received $12 million dollars.
