Health minister confirms no cases of coronavirus in Dominica as of Sunday night
Health Minister Dr. Irving McIntyre says Dominica is among few Caribbean islands without a case of the coronavirus.
He said last night the tests conducted in Dominica last week for coronavirus were all negative.
Dominica, Barbados, St. Kitts and Nevis and Grenada are among the Caribbean islands which have not reported cases of coronavirus.
Meantime, a Dominican family of 4 which arrived here on Sunday has been sent to isolation. The family was on a cruise ship in Martinique on which there were two confirmed cases of coronavirus.
However, the family was tested before boarding the ferry to Dominica testing negative. Health officials confirm that on arrival in Dominica further tests were conducted, they again tested negative but were sent into isolation at home as a precautionary measure.
