Grenada PM talks Regional Development
According to Grenada’s Prime Minister, Dr. Keith Mitchell, “We looked at the issue of health [and saw the] need to have a unified health system in the OECS and establish a unit that can look at things like a national health insurance scheme for the entire sub region. We committed ourselves to financing the OECS authority and to made commitment to deal with the arrears that we’ve had.
“We also looked at advancing the Economic Union and agreed to look at things like the Economic Citizenship Programme to come up with a uniform process instead of allowing some of the agents/islands involved to play one island against the next [which may in turn] cause us to reduce the effectiveness of or jeopardize the programme.”
Thursday 11th November, 2015 was the final day of the OECS Authority Meeting in Dominica.
