The Government of Dominica has been presented with the preliminary designs for the East Coast Road Works rehabilitation Project.
The project is one of the sub-projects under the Disaster Vulnerability Reduction Project (DVRP), and will seek to improve resilience of existing roads and to provide an alternative route between Roseau and the Douglas Charles Airport.
The four road segments to be undertaken during this project are: Pont Casse Roundabout to Bois Diable, Bois Daible to Castle Bruce, Castle Bruce to Petite Soufriere, and Castle Bruce to Hatton Garden.
Minister of Environment, Climate Resilience, Disaster Management and Urban Renewal Joseph Isaac says this intervention is timely, and is encouraging the technical team to get feedback from the locals in the implementation of the works.
The preliminary designs was presented by the Project Manager of Tecnica Y Proyectos, S.A (TYPSA) Alfonso Medina.
