Government hands over $1.5 million dollars for housing repairs in the Marigot Constituency
The Government has allocated $1.5 million dollars to assist with housing repairs in the Marigot Constituency.
The cheque was handed over to the Marigot Village Council by the Dominica Labor Party representative in Marigot Dayton Baptiste.
Also Athenia Benjamin has made a presentation in the Wesley Constituency for housing assistance after the passage of Hurricane Maria.
The Wesley Village Council received a cheque of six hundred and forty seven thousand six hundred and sixty six dollars and forty three cents and Woodfordhill Village Council received a cheque of four hundred and ninety seven thousand seven hundred and thirteen dollars and fifty eight cents.
This will benefit 29 recipients in Wesley and 29 recipients in Woodfordhill.
In addition to this eleven new homes will be built bringing the total of approximately one point four million dollars in the Wesley Constituency.
