Fifteen Primary Schools across Dominica benefitting from a US$36,000 grant
Fifteen Primary Schools across the island are benefiting from a US$36,000 grant, geared towards the improvement of early grade reading in Dominica.
Each school has received $6,500.
Principals and teachers of these schools will for the next two days develop projects through ‘innovative lab sessions’ with education officials and representatives of the OECS/USAID.
Reading Specialist at the OECS/USAID Early Learners Program Lisa Terrence says a special arrangement was made for Dominica for these grants.
The Primary Schools are Morne Jaune Primary, Mahaut Primary, Goodwill Primary, Kaleb Laurent Primary, Dos Dane Primary, Castle Bruce Primary, Wesley Primary, Paix Bouche Primary, Penville Primary, Bense Primary, Newtown Primary, Colihaut Primary, Baroness Patricia Scotland Primary, and the Salisbury Primary School.
