Felix Thomas Recognised for Outstanding Chairmanship
Chairman of the Government Housing Loans Board, Felix Thomas has been recognised for his achievements and contribution to the board over the years.
Former board member of the Government Housing Loans Board , Senator Edward Registe gave Thomas commendations at the Board’s annual social evening on February 2nd, 2016.
“In his first address as Chairman, mr Thomas promised to meet three main objectives; to seek additional funds to increase the loan portfolio to at least EC $25M, to ensure that at least 200 civil servants owned the home and to reduce interest rates to at least 6 percent per annum. I have to say he passed all three with A+ grades.
“To date under the dynamic leadership of this individual, the following objectives have been successfully achieved namely; the loan portfolio now stands at $30M, borrowers now stand at 250 which was at 80 in 2000 and the interest rate has dropped from 9.75% in 2000 to 5.5% per annum to date.”
