Dominica’s Prime Minister welcomes decision by Guadeloupe to join the OECS
Dominica’s Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit has welcomed the decision by Guadeloupe to join the Organization of the Eastern Caribbean States as an Associate Member.
Guadeloupe recently formally joined the OECS, and is the second in the French-speaking Caribbean island to join the OECS, the first being Martinique.
OECS Chairman and Prime Minister of St Vincent and the Grenadines Dr Ralph Gonsalves said the accession of the French territory was a momentous occasion in the life of the OECS and in furtherance of the deepening and broadening of the regional integration of small Eastern Caribbean islands.
Prime Minister Skerrit said this on the matter.
