Dominican doctor based in Canada makes significant contribution to the Ministry of Health
A Canadian doctor based in the United States has made a significant contribution to the Ministry of Health and Social Services.
Dr Mark Sorhaindo presented the Ministry with US$6,000 for medical relief.
Dr Sorhaindo, a Sports Medicine Physician, working in Halifax Canada, is the son of former prominent Gynecologist/Obstetrician Dr Bernard Sorhaindo.
The funds were handed over to the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary Letitia Lestrade Wyke.
The funds will go towards procurement of equipment for the Anti-Natal Unit at the Princess Margaret Hospital.
