Climate Resilience Executing Agency of Dominica CREAD will be key to combat the negative effects of climate change
Minister for Foreign Affairs Senator Francine Baron says the Climate Resilience Executing Agency of Dominica (CREAD) will be key if Dominica is to combat against the negative effects of climate change.
Senator Baron presented the Bill on the CREAD for debate at the Parliament on Wednesday.
She says scientific studies have shown that Dominica is under immediate threat to the effects of climate change and immediate steps must be taken to protect the island.
According to Senator Baron, studies have revealed that 14 percent of Dominica’s road network will be lost and the country’s food security will be under threat due to a loss in agricultural lands.
